My name is B.J. West, writer, artist, and sub-indy film maker. My most well-known work has been as part of the creative team behind such computer games as TheSims franchise and Sim City 3000. I'm also an avid gamer, primarily Call of C'thulhu, Cyberpunk and StarFleet Battles) and have been an illustrator for R. Talsorian Games (Cyberpunk Corporation Report sourcebooks). More trivially, I have modeled for Max Fellwalker's fine illustrations for the Vampire: The Masquerade main rule book.

For the last ten years, I have been developing a set of cards to help novelists, screenwriters, playwrights and game masters brainstorm their works of dramatic fiction, maximize tension and conflict, or smash through "writer's block.". After seemingly endless rounds of play testing, refinement and test marketing, I am finally ready to try and publish the finished project: Story Forge. Gamers will especially be interested in its use as a fast, deep and powerful character generator.
