Hexbldade's arcaene spell resistance, works vs divine spells?

The name of Hexblade's 2nd level ability implies arcane spells, but the text seems to mean that it also applies against divine spells. How do you rule this? -- Atherlos

    Rogues flanking at range?

Ranged flanking The PrC Whisperknife in Races of the Wild gives ranged flanking at 10' at 8th level or so. It's a halfling only PrC, requires quite a few feats, and I think it gives Rapid Shot or some other useful feat at 1st level. If I remember correctly it also lets you do ranged attacks...

Races of Stone: Battlesmith too front-loaded?

The sacred bonus to AC from flesh of my flesh only works in heavy armor. Would you give the player this bonus if he wears mithral plate? -- Atherlos

    Want a cheap adamantine plate?

Concerning caster level, there are 4 levels of fighter before the battlesmith (not blacksmith, sorry) kicks in so practiced spellcaster should work fine. I am a bit unsure of the stacking with battlesmith levels, but those are allowed to surpass character level, so I don't think there will be...

Thanks - Interesting table. Do you have a similar one for fractional rules - or where can I find them? -- Atherlos

    Prestige classes & saves

I agree that 9th level spells are a huge benefit. It's just an example of how PrC feasting can boost saves. Endurance is a bonus feat from ranger, there's still a few leftover feats, and for more swap pious templar 4 with fighter 4. Deepwarden and Battlesmith are from Races of Stone...

    Prestige classes & saves

How about ranger 3/cleric 4/deepwarden 2/Blacksmith 3/Hammer of Moradin 3/Pious Templar 4/Dwarven Defender 1? As far as I recall: base saves fort 24-ref 7-will 18, BAB 19, AC is good, you can track, create your own stuff, throw hammers from defensive stance, and damage potential is crazy. I...

    Want a cheap adamantine plate?

On a side note, I'm looking for ways to heighten my caster level. I'm currently thinking cleric 4, blacksmith 2, practiced spellcaster, and the ioun stone that gives +1 caster level. This would give a caster level of 15 (cle4=4, blacksmith2=6, Pr. spellc.=4, ioun stone=1), enough to create...

    Want a cheap adamantine plate?

I'm making a battlesmith and looked into the item crafting rules. I feel that the only feasable way to make expensive non-magic items is via magic (fabricate). Lets assume a non-caster character level 10 char has a craft bonus of +25 (low-moderate number with the right eq), and wants to craft...

    Prestige classes & saves

I think the benefit is much larger then the 'penalty' as far as saves go. Joining the right classes and PrCs can give fort 20 ref 5-6 will 20 (base saves) or so with at least 19 BAB. Consequences of failing ref saves are generally much more benign than those that come from failed fort or will...

    Prestige classes & saves

Joining numerous prestige classes gives a huge boost to base saves. Do you give players the full benefit or reduce it? Just curious. -- Atherlos

Deepwarden's Con bonus to AC & armor

Avoiding MAD is a great reason to play Deepwarden. Starting with ranger, requirements are easy with 8 int, only stat needed besides con is str really. I'm mixing in a few other prestige classes to make a blacksmith (creating arms&armor at lvl 17) that gets strong will/fort saves and high...
