I think if they wanted to add a third extra class to 5e, it'd likely be Warlord given its popularity. It's definitely the class I've seen asked for the most besides Psion/Mystic.
I'm actually positive that they'll add more classes. It hasn't been that long since the books came out and we've had...
"Towering over most folk, goliaths are distant descendants of giants." is directly from the 2024 handbook. To me distant descendant = not a direct descendant = not a half race. You can nitpick the word evolved but at that point we're arguing semantics, the point is that they're not a half race...
While I'm against WOTC getting rid of half-races, being a distant descendant doesn't make you a half-race. Goliaths evolved from Giants. A half-elf or half-orc has very direct ancestry with elves or orcs: parents, grandparents, and half-elves/orcs are interesting for not truly belonging to...
We started a campaign with 2024 rules and one of my players is playing a Storm Goliath. He seems to be having a great time, and we weaved his Goliath's tribe storm powers seamlessly into the lore of the setting as well. I'm also putting different Goliath tribes on different biomes and giving...
The closest thing to an everyman class I've seen that actually pulls their weight is Laserllama's Savant class, who uses their knowledge and intellect to rise above. It's not exactly an everyman, becoming pretty much a genius at some point, but it's still much less fantastical than the PHB...
I think Hunter's Mark without concentration should come into play at level 5 rather than 1 to discourage dipping one level into Ranger to get free damage on every attack on top of whatever spell they're concentrating on.
Tbh I think Hunter's Mark shouldn't be a spell at all but just a Ranger...
Tiny Hut should not be a ritual, and it should have an AC and HP so that it can be destroyed by enemies. Though I'd give it a damage threshold (maybe 10, 15?) so it can't just be taken down by someone throwing rocks at it.
Rope Trick should not last a whole hour, imo. It's obviously intended to...
It's not the biggest deal, just one of my pet peeves, but I dislike it when everyone in the group wants to play a rare species. If the world is half humans, quarter dwarves, and most of the rest elves and halflings, then it breaks my immersion when the party that met in a tavern consists of a...
My DM uses dinosaurs on a kingdom/continent called the Dragonlands. It's normal to find wyverns and young dragons in the wild lands, but you also see all kinds of dinosaurs. I also have a couple places where I'll put dinosaurs on my own campaign.
437) The harder you swing the blade, the sturdier it is, but if you gently touch it it bends as if it was made of rubber. Kinda like how non-newtonian fluids behave. Would make for some fun party tricks.
I want to hide a thread because I'm tired of seeing it for months, and I know I'll never interact with it. Is this possible without blocking the op? I haven't been able to find an option. If not, oh well, not really that big of a deal.
We keep attunement. But we make it proficiency-based, with artificers getting more infusions when they'd normally get more attunement. We run very high-magic games, so we still have to choose which items to attune to, but we don't feel as limited
Most of the time. With my group we've finished 4 campaigns, one is in progress, two have been cancelled. That's 4 out of 6 completed, possibly 5 out of 7 later this year.
