To spill the demographics: I'm a twenty-five year old male, gay (sorry, have to get that out there to avoid future awkwardness) and live happily with my partner of three years (as luck may have it, also an avid gamer). My guy is fond of roleplaying but unfortunately not particularly fond of 4e DnD, for which I make a sad face. Thusly, I look here for the sliver of a chance to find a fitting gaming group in the greater Portland area (ideally in Portland proper) in which I can get my fix, healing surges and all.

I prefer a nice mix of crunchiness and fluffiness, erring on the side of more crunchy, but I have played and enjoyed very fluff heavy games on occasion. I'm looking for the perfect recipe: one part co-operative storytelling; one part tactical and strategic mini game; one part archetypal heroic fantasy that seeks to build upon existing tropes in new and creative ways; all mixed together with a magic spork to create something funny, casual, fair, intelligent, witty, social, cuddly, challenging and goofy. And always... always... having fun. Yeah, I'm flexible and will accept substitutions, except for that last one .
