I continue to consult these books to this day. I have them in PDF and I mine them for ideas on classes etc that I incorporate into 5e.

This. If 5.5 had cleaned up the rules issues and added masteries etc as optional systems, then I would have been happy. 2e really allowed you do customize each campaign.

The complete books are canon but any rule can be optional. The game is meant to be modular.

I would do 100 years or more past RoS with a galaxy divided into various factions and a new Jedi/ new Sith Cold War.

No. I do not.

I do not do concerts either. I can do sports if a group activity and I loved to play before my body started falling apart. It may be an odd hang up but the one I watched put me to sleep and I am a fan of Deborah Ann Woll.

I just do not see the appeal of people watching rather than doing. I feel the same about sports, reality TV, and other things. It is a culture I do not understand. This is the same for short form stuff. I do not get it. The longer form stuff, at least, does not kill attention span or cause...

I do not get it. I watched 20 minutes of an actual play show once. It is so utterly boring.

I am the DM. None of them want the role so if I do not run, then they do not play. They also trust me to pick something they would enjoy.

I backed Cosmere but never see myself running or playing it. I like the novels but fail to see the appeal in adventuring in the setting.

@Alenda would kill me if she knew how much I spent on TYRPGs via KS, backerkit, and DDB.

I have enough 5e content to last forever. If they remove 5.0 from DDB, then I’d switch my primary system to A5E or Tales. I just would not touch PF2e and it’s crunch. I could also happily go back to 2e. Otherwise, I’d move to C&C or Cypher. My groups would use whatever system I suggested.
