Okay, we all get different things out of gaming. Some people like +1 longswords. Others love the thrill of crunching numbers together to make super-Conan. Others like having cute furry imaginary pets. Whether we want to be social or not, it's also about hanging out with buddies! That's fine!

I am looking for groups that really want to bring storytelling art to gaming. Method acting. Outlandish and yet still well-grounded characters. Props and music that evoke a mood. All very awesome. I love players and DMs who really *try* to get in the spirit, as though we're telling ghost stories around a camp fire. A group that can explore adult themes and social realism without tittering like kids.

It doesn't hurt if you've got good social skills and bathing habits, either! Women and other gay men are especially welcome, but I play (games) well with you straight dudes too.

As a side note, I've been enjoying Pathfinder and the Pathfinder adventure paths. 4th Edition is great in a lot of ways, but I think it really takes the art out of gaming (as far as I've experienced so far).
