How have you made ogres more interesting?

Actually, the Ogres in my campaign are very much different than the standard. My campaign is based on a war between the Light and the Dark. There is a Light World and a Dark World. In the Light World, we have the standard races. In the Dark World, we have the Ogres. The standard Ogre is simply...

Looking for 2nd addition D&D Artwork

Does anybody know the websites of the 2E D&D artists? I miss the classic feel of 2E art, so I wish to gaze upon it once more. If anyone has any 2E art or websites that show the stuff, please post. Thank ye!! :D

Need info on the medieval Catholic Church

In my game, I am basing the main religion on medieval catholism. The problem is, I know little about the church. I've picked up bits and pieces from my western civ class, but not alot. For instance, what are the rankings? Who out ranks who? Who would be in charge of a small village shrine, or a...

Knights, Glory, Honor, and Nobility. But How?

Thank you all, for your advice and suggestions. I went out and picked up Dragon Magazine issue 299. It will help, I think. I'm curious, has anyone ran an adventure or two featuring knights, court intrigue, etc? I am interested in hearing about it, if you have. By the way, does anyone know of any...

Knights, Glory, Honor, and Nobility. But How?

I'm on the verge of starting a new campaign. Its theme are Knights. You know, jousts, political intrigue, noble quests, etc. My players seem to be psyched about it. My only problem is how do I have the focus on these things, yet still have some of the common D&D elements in it, dungeons for...

Gaaa!!!! I need a Low Magic System!!!!

I've downloaded the Ars Magica book; its neat, and as the feel I'm looking for, but its a problem, because it gives the magi way too much power, which I'm avoiding, and it seems a bit complex. I wouldn't know how to convert it to d20. Any tips?
