I started reading Forgotten Realms novels for about 10 years ago and still continue to do so. I started playing D&D late in life, and regret it every so often. I started DMing for my family about 2+ years ago and although I love it I wish I had the vast years of experience most TableTop Gamers my age have. So I turn to here, primarily to read how people do it and how I can adapt the things I like to my world.
