    Is DnD well-balanced?

You never seen some one use an action point to use 2 dailies or even an an encounter and a daily to kill something far above the player's current level? I don't think your group is doing it right.

Which Essentials class do you like the most?

The wizard of course! I can turn the baddest of enemies into frogs.

    Is DnD well-balanced?

While a basic attack is a at will power, there are also other power they have that are at wills that do even more then that. the phb basic attack is far behind the new classes. Same goes if you compare gained at will powers to gained at will powers

What non-"essential" characters do you play?

Dwarf Monk. 4th ed monks are A-MAZ-ING! Not exactly a top damage guy but is easy to bloody a whole group of enemies in a single turn. For the first time since playing D&D a monk feels like a monk. Other then that I still play the Wizard.

    Is DnD well-balanced?

Yes but all that damage they are doing is not using at wills. It is only basic attacks.

    D&D Game Day this weekend!

Being a Harper in FR is enough. It was hard to pick from being part of Jarlaxle's gang, or a harper. Really, really, really hard to pick. But then I thought 'Man I'd have to play a drow.' :(

    Is DnD well-balanced?

Well A slayer's base damage with a 20 str and a great axe is 2d12+7 and +8 at level 2. That is on a basic attack. During all of the season of encounters for the essentials since the slayer was released that is what every one wanted to play, and they average 15 damage on a basic attack, so its...

    Is DnD well-balanced?

It's been argued that the Essentials lines way out powers the regular series of 4th. The Redbox thief and the Slayer are often cited as the worst offenders.

R.I.P Nostolgic Roleplaying 1995-2010. Why, oh why did they have to all move away.

I don't know about role playing in the 70's or even in the 80's. I was just a kid when I started playing AD&D 1st ed in the mid 90's Even though second ed was out then We didn't really have any game stores so we played what we had, books handed down from the dm's dad. The problem lies in what...

    Is DnD well-balanced?

Not off hand but I don't subscribe to the idea of because I cant see it doesn't mean its not there. As sure as rules are printed on a page, some one found some silly loop hole. This has been the case starting as far back as I know, of first edition AD&D. ---Rusty

Optimized and Non-Optimized in the same group.

Dungeons and Dragons is a Role Playing Game first and foremost even though its roots and some aspects have War and Strategy games, I feel that the Role playing community as a whole lost sight of RPGS as a role playing game and view it with as much role playing as you get out of a video game. No...

    Is DnD well-balanced?

I hate to say it but it's the honest truth, but at the end of the day there are loop holes in the rules that are exploited that makes a few players that want to to this hold all the power though this method. These players wait to urn the action point on a boss to 2 hit and kill them no matter...

I am curious to know what you party dynamic is in your party class wise. I find that it's easy for optimized striker class to feel out shined by a optimized defender, controller, leader ect. as players often times like to be the one at the table that deal the most damage at the table. In such...
