So maybe I missed some lore, and I have not run Curse of Strahd, but why wouldn't Azalin be the lord of Darkon anymore? Always has been one of more favorite characters.
I like it! Only comment I would have given his methods and reputation is I'd lean towards even more of a charisma-heavy stat block, in addition to dexterity and intelligence.
As far as mistakes, can't speak to whether or not she should be resistant to radiant (I personally wouldn't for a devil subtype), or immune to necrotic, but as a devil there should be immunity to fire.

Is anyone else really disappointed there's really a lack of new abjuration spells? I know it's not the favorite spell school for most (it is mine), but c'mon....
As its been mentioned, this is a wonderful, limiting means of introducing the dangers of epic adventuring to your players. And the discussion of why icons may not even want to use their resources, or personal ability, to use Resurrection is spot on.
