Well I'm a long time gamer and geek. My gamer credentials go way back, as in I actually own a copy of E.T. the Extra Terestrial for the Atari 2600 (which I also still have from when I was a kid). I didn't get into D&D until I was in my 20's but I really liked it, though THAC0 was the bane of my existence for a long time; and I still hate it lol. I went through 3E, and 3.5 and enjoyed the customization it brought. I also played a lot of Legend of the Five Rings rpg, being introduced to the living campaign through a good friend and man did I love that setting and system. When Wizards made the transition to 4E I left and chose Pathfinder, which I still play because it lets me build the kinds of characters that I want to play, and actually, before anyone asks, it's not because of minmaxing. It means that I can spend skill points and feats on an RP setup, and still be OK at combat. If anyone else likes a system that I don't, however, I'm cool with that. We all love what we love, and for the most part I'm good on that.
