    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

Epiccc! I Run a lot for very optimized players, So the older epic stuff is still a challenge for these nerds haha. I can't (but will) wait for the new epic rules and new bigger and Badder monsters. Muhahaha!

    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

Howdy Dave! Love the monster sheet, it is a touch weaker than the previous version. I take that these changes (in terms of attack bonuses being lowered. and the removal of some of his other abilities) are intentional. given that they are a work in progress though, I'm super excited to see what...

First word never had a description, but I took the first part of Orobous, (Restoring all life) as it was the opposite of last word (destroy everything).

Thank you, Dave, It was First and last word. the basis for one of my campaigns, in which the choice would be to change the world forever based on if you used the first or the last word. never finished that story sadly. Super excited to see the Elder evils as they should be. Utterly badass and...

    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

Hey Dave, Your work has been fantastic as always, Kyuss as a villain has a lot of potential. I faintly remember you had made epic spells at one point, Alpha and Omega. I know they are A) unbalanced B) Not finished but I was wondering if you still had them?

    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

Time to do some reading, Creating a "cinematic" universe for my dnd crew so I want to include as much of the good stuff as I can. Acererak is a really interesting character so i hope they do more with him.

I do agree that the most current version of Vecna isn't a god. however "The accompanying stat block depicts Vecna in his archlich form prior to Kas’s betrayal. Because Vecna is said to have mastered magic allowing him to travel through time, he can appear in this form even on worlds where his...

    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

Vecna is already a god as of 3rd edition, where they listed him as a lesser god in the player's handbook, in 5th edition In the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide (2015), Vecna is mentioned as a possible God for the Arcana Cleric Domain, as well as a Warlock patron of the Undying. our information on...

I did assume he was from Oerth, as all great liches are. but I wasn't entirely sure.

    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

Ahhh my mistake. let me try again haha Strangely enough, we actually know a lot more about Vecna than we do of Acererak. Vecna is a powerful lich lord from the realm of Oerth, he was a scribe for a group of wizards and decided he was done doing that when he killed them all. he eventually...

    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

Lichlord Vecna appears to be a slightly more offensive Acererak, while they do share the same spells and slots, Vecna does have afterthought, flight of the damned, and rotten fate. Unlike epic Aecrerak however, he lacks the mythic trait which would give him more survivability in the short term...

LETS GOOO! Also, this version of Vecna still has a lower intelligence than your version of Acererak. I know why, but its still funny

    D&D 5E 5e Updates: Monstrous Compendium

My group was looking into making our own epic system cause we have three campaigns that will eventually need to go further beyond "mere" level 20s. I love the idea behind Ascension but It doesn't really "fit" one of my settings.
