    D&D 2E 2E Quickling as a PC.

Easy enough question. Is the template for a P.C. quickling published anywhere?

    Raising the stakes

I'm not sure if this should be in the E6 thread but has can anyone tell me about their experiences with the "raising the stakes" part of the E6 system? I like the part where death is not permanent but I was thinking of imposing a penalty if the character would have died. Maybe like a -4 to all...

    Good form and bad PCs

I had a very similar problem recently. There is some good advice in this thread. http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?340745-The-problem-is-choice&prefixid=Dnd3e

    The problem is choice

Looks like everything has been resolved for now. The player in question is no longer with the group. Still, I pitched the E6 rules and everyone seems interested. I'm still very much interested in trying them out so I'll let you know how it goes.

Material allowed ingame by a DM

THIS ^^ I'm going to have to go with this from now on. I absolutely hate people who pick a race or dip into a class just for the mechanics.....

    The problem is choice

Im running into this problem as well. This player ran a Shadowrun game in the past. I ended up quitting his game because I felt that he was singling me out with his rules. other players saw this as well. I actually allowed this player some things I would have not normally allowed because I...

    The problem is choice

By only one way I meant 75% role playing 25% mechanics. Third edition seems to be the other way around.

Is it possible to build a Dragoon?

Thanks Jackinthegreen, those are some great ideas. I think I can get the feel of the Dragoon and still be effective without being overpowered.

Is it possible to build a Dragoon?

Let me preface this with a blanket statement: You and I clearly have different ideas of what is overpowered or unbalanced. That being said, I think the Bo9S is vastly broken. As for Psionics, its purely a role playing choice. Psionics just doesn't seem "sword and sorcery" enough for me in a D&D...

Is it possible to build a Dragoon?

OK, let me be more specific. Is it possible to do without using B09S, UA, or Psionics? I do not use any of that material.

    The problem is choice

I did read your post Ragmon and I agreed with some of your points. I did not come on this message board looking for a simple solution, rather I came seeking a creative solution that I perhaps had not thought of. I did not want to simply start banning more things until the power level was where I...

    The problem is choice

Dwimmerlied, while I know that it is wrong, I feel D&D is only meant to be played one way. I think that powergaming, min-maxing, munchkining, whatever you want to call them are all wrong. I have been playing D&D in one edition or another for 25 years. In that time I have been lucky enough (in my...

Is it possible to build a Dragoon?

I've always liked the Dragon Knight or "Dragoon" from Final Fantasy. Is there any way to re-create it in 3.5? Its basically a medium-armored melee fighter that uses a spear or lance on foot. It has several abilities that rely on jumping for extra damage. I'm specifically wondering if it's...

    The problem is choice

I've already decided to go with the E6 game rules. I really think that will fit nicely with the kind of campaign I want. Cyclone Joker, your attitude and the way you continue to talk down to myself and others reminds me of the player I'm talking about. Based on the fact that your account is...

    The problem is choice

That about sums it up Dwimmerlied. I have never been much of an optimizer personally and as stated, all players in this group but one can be trusted not to get ridiculous. Hell in the last D&D game we played everyone was geshalt except for me. I was playing a single classed Bard and managed to...
