I rather liked it. There were problems with the final act, but no more than other genre films. The zombies were laughable and making the average joe able to take them on made them even more so. But I liked the movie.
To me, the best superhero media have been the ones where they use a different genre, with good writers, and go with that over a straight superhero show. Trying to make a comic into a movie doesn't really work as well for me most of the time, especially because it's not going to be the same...
That's in the regular comics. I like the idea that they train their successor while they are still alive and in the role rather than the ring choosing someone local and them having to find their way to Oa to get trained. It always seemed rather convoluted, and is really why Hal is the way he is.
It was the retooling and loss of direction that did them in. And the need to do underlying series' to establish some of them. We still might see them, but they're getting long in the tooth. We have IronHeart that set up Strange Academy in addition to a member of the Young Avengers, MoM for...
And that's anecdotal based on your own experiences and abilities. What's that old saying about underestimating the limits of human stupidity? I think that applies in this case. Not exactly stupidity, but perceptions.
I have anecdotal evidence. But that's all it is- anecdotal. I don't think there's a way to get empirical evidence around this, which is the reason that, IMO, the query is useless.
I just had an interesting experience which shows something on the other danger of AI and anti-Ai. I was using a site I haven't used before and doing some coding in a language I haven't used before to automate it. I read the documentation (admittedly not a rigorous read) and attempted to write a...
One reason I settled where I am and stopped contracting was because of the culture and environment.
We've been through a few mergers/acquisitions and have had RIFs based on that. We've also had RIFs based on political maneuvering which sucked. And we have product lines that aren't performing...
I didn't say that some won't do it. They're just going to experience pain on the other end. They could have made use of that trained staff to accelerate their bottom line. What's better? To reduce headcount, eliminating trained workers for savings and keep your growth stable, or to empower your...
