    Midnight Alternate

1st Edition or 2nd? Are you allowed to use alternate classes from the Complete Books such as the Swashbuckler or Scout? I assume yes, since you have levels in Thief-Acrobat. Are you allowed to use feats from such books as well? Do you often lose your weapons or have them destroyed?

    Cigarette?

    Agreed.

    Cigarette?

Because of this thread, I just timed myself on grabbing my cigs and lighter and beginning to smoke. 3 seconds.

    [Build Contest] Grappler!

A little contest for anyone willing to accept. I wanna be a grappler. Gimme your best build you can think of. Requirements: Standard races and races of Faerun only. The Grappler must use the Reaping Mauler prestige class. Thief-Acrobat levels a plus, but entirely optional. 28 point buy...

    Tempest?

Cool. Sadly, it wouldn't work for my group since we pay no attention to errata of any kind, but thanks for the link. :D

    Tempest?

    Ah, that's cool. Link?

    Tempest?

Darklone, your build upthread won't work. Invisible Blade requires Point Blank Shot and Far Shot. :)

    Tempest?

If you still take levels in Swashbuckler, it's really only beneficial if you take it to 3rd. Adding an extra +4 to damage is the biggest draw here. And I forgot about that limitation on Expeditious Dodge, which means it's only really useful if you have a level in Barbarian or enough levels in...

Archer capitalizing on a stat-roll windfall

You could go to Arcane Archer either through Duskblade or Hexblade, depending on how you roll.

    Tempest?

Yeah, one level of Fighter is nearly required for Tempest. One area in which Dervish shines. Expeditious Dodge is from Races of the Wild, sorry. Their one flaw. ;)

    Tempest?

You're not missing anything. However, to max out Dervish you're stuck with only 5 other levels to play with, at least one of which has to be fighter and any others have to give a full attack progression. Not to mention that no full BAB class (that I know of) has Tumble and Perform as class...

    Tempest?

Crap, I forgot about those. If you take Scout at first level, you can get alot more skill points. Alternatively, drop Scout and Ranger for 3 levels of Rogue. The BAB will suffer by one more point, but with that high Dex it won't be a problem. Another option is to drop Hexblade and Fighter...

    Tempest?

    How's this sound? Human Hexblade 3/Swashbuckler 3/Ranger 2/Scout 1/Tempest 5 lvl Class Feats/Abilities 1st Ranger Expeditious Dodge(1st)*, Mobility(H), Track(B)/Wild Empathy, Favored Enemy 2nd Scout Skirmish +1d6, Trapfinding 3rd Swashbuckler Weapon Finesse(B), Quick Draw (3rd) 4th...

    Tempest?

With those stats I'd go Rogue 5/Swashbuckler 3 From there, either go for Thief-Acrobat or Tempest. Considering your Int and Dex modifiers, I'd think Thief-Acrobat would be better. Also, considering your Int, you could take a few levels of Duskblade for some arcane power. If you really want...

    Tempest?

The biggest draw for Thief-Acrobat 5 is the second use of Defensive Roll and Improved Evasion. At the very least, I would take it to 4 for Skill Mastery and +2/+3 to AC. Combined with a Tempest, you're looking at a +5/+6 to your AC. If you don't go the Dervish route, you could then have...
