Seems a bit expensive. (And it don't have the money for it or I would get it). Hopefully a pdf will come out. As a special editions it's just going to gather dust. With a pdf their might be a critical mass of players for it. Hopefully at 400 pages there will be enough here to keep players...
Edit - I take that back. It would need to be an individual reverter or one in favor of some new company.
While WotC Inc ceased to exist in 2009: http://www.sos.wa.gov/corps/search_detail.aspx?ubi=601263810
WotC LLC is doing just fine...
Somebody leaked the details of the deal over on RPG.Net. Since this is rumor the thread gets the tag speculation. Though I will say, given many years as a gamer, the vast number of people looking to make excuses for observable data is also a good sign that the game is dead. The rabid fans...
The current WotC release schedule is not a serious effort to publish D&D. From the best that I can see, the sale to Hasbro included a clause that all the IP (including MtG) would revert if D&D fell under a certain amount of releases (most likely four per year). WotC also printed up enough...
It strikes me that the four general trait types in Pathfinder are Magic, Combat, Faith and Social. Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat have been announced. I wonder if their will be Ultimate books for the other two types.
And as long as I'm speculating about Paizo's release schedule I wonder...
Well the CEO has stated that the first run was over two times the size of the companies largest prior run. As Paizo has stated that they have done 15,000 copy runs in the past, that puts the total of the first run at a minimum of 30,000 copies.
Well in a couple months you can probably use the beta of the APG. Really looking forward to that book. Then again I can't get the hardcopy book locally (and um Amazon, um yeah) so it's the difference between using one pdf for me or the other. Having a hard copy at the table might change...
I'm realizing that with Pathfinder, I'm more interested in playing a game that has some similarities to the 3.5 rules but diverges heavily. Is anyone else considering going back to the Beta rules (at least until APG comes out)? Either that or Fantasy Craft. I'm discovering that my dislike...
Sigh according to Paizo, it looks like Amazon might not have gotten their order to their distributor in on time and as a result got ZERO Pathfinder books.
Time to go fish, if Amazon didn't get any it's because the other big chains cleared out Diamonds stock. Wish me luck, I'm going for a drive.
Amazon is showing Pathfinder is unreleased, ETA unknown (not out of stock reorder unknown). Has Amazon decided not to carry Pathfinder for some reason (copyright concerns with WotC maybe)?
