For sure. We implemented it so the maps show up in grayscale within your darkvision range and you only see color if there is natural...

This would lead me to believe that it does, but confirmation would be nice.

Shadow dark without night vision is a breath of fresh air. So much so that I really stress, in other games, that dark vision is FAR...

Every single PC that has played in my campaigns for like 10 years has had it, or worked hard to get a magic item that gave it to them...

When the map starts showing characters with darkvision more than characters without, then you start seeing people create more non-human...

That depends. It isn't cheap when you're storing gobs of biological image data (as my current employer does). Granted, adventure maps...

Storage is cheap as chips. Processing power is a bit harder.

There are free maps that come with the Maps VTT -- 9 at current count, plus 9 animated versions. I imagine those will stick around...

This looks intriguing. At some point I need to try out Maps. I keep hearing good things.
