    Legal Discussion of OGL 1.2

~Just In Case In the meantime I plan to just keep using the PRD / d20PFSRD / d20srd / PDFs for my actual game rule reference.

    Legal Discussion of OGL 1.2

The bulk of the actual work was combing through the Pathfinder wiki looking for character and deity names to find and replace with generic things, such as replacing Nethys with "Magic God" in all instances across wherever it appeared in the 3300+ files. I'll take a stab at giving d20pfsrd a...

    Legal Discussion of OGL 1.2

Alrighty. Take 2 I'm hereby publishing this work (for free) under the OGL1.0a. I made it in two evenings. It's contents are the same as the Legacy PRD, with all of the product identity and trademarks stripped out. Everything it contains is open gaming content. Thank you HTML files for being...

    Legal Discussion of OGL 1.2

An implied threat may not always be something you can press charges or sue over, but people still notice its presence. Here's my current perspective (not a lawyer - just in aggregate from reading lawyer commentary here and elsewhere and keeping up with the relevant news stories):

    Class action lawsuit?

    Class action lawsuit?

Final Fantasy has had mindflayers long before there was an OGL. It's been using them since Final Fantasy IV in 1991. I suspect D&D has missed their chance to pursue that one, but I am not a lawyer.

[Seems I did not]. Who knew I had so many ancient SRDs on my harddrive. Let me know if anyone wants my backups of those SRDs to do their own thing with.

So, If I understand correctly, something like this? (someone tell me if I did it wrong.) [Seems it's not so simple.]

    Legal Discussion of OGL 1.2

Hihi. I used to have an ENWorld account, a very long time ago (before 4e came out) and I made a new one today because all of this new OGL v2 / 1.2 stuff - anyways. I would like to ask any of the lawyers here about this. A few people have brought it up and I think maybe some replies have been...
