Critical Role Wildemount: Most Pre-orders Since D&D Core Rulebooks

Wildemount is 304 pages. It was indicated in the product announcement. I also just picked up Tal’Dorei from Amazon which has it for great price 21 and get 3 for price of 2. Was hard to pass up. Speaking of Amazon; I think if the animated show his hit they could lock in a contract for the...

Critical Role Wildemount: Most Pre-orders Since D&D Core Rulebooks

We will agree to disagree on the D&D brand being more influential or not. Many forget that when critical roll started D&D 5th was on the New Yorker times best seller list. So at that point D&D 5e and playing it helped critical roll. Now I think they help each other. I think if they were to...

Critical Role Here's The Official Wildemount Announcement!

For me I have no interest in the Welch book if it a compilation of small adventures. That is hard pass. Would much rather have a setting book than something like that. I hard passed on the other two.

The 3 subclasses are also growing on me quite a bit for Wildemount

That along with new spells give Wildemount almost as much character content as Eberron which just edges it out with a new class, 3 subclasses, the group Patreon, and Dragon Marks.

Critical Role Here's The Official Wildemount Announcement!

I think Wildemount has the amount of player options in- between Eberron which had slightly more with the new class and 3 subclasses and Ravnica with 2 sublasses. Wildemount has 3 subclasses.

Critical Role Here's The Official Wildemount Announcement!

I do think a Realms book could be coming. Very early on they said they were going to focus on regions. I think sales of the setting books may have changed their minds though. As far as doing the critical role book this is exactly what they would have done with AD&D, 2nd, 3rd, and4th. They would...

Critical Role Explorer's Guide to Wildemount Rockets to #1 In 'All Books' on Amazon

I was happy to get a new setting book and had watched few episodes of the 2nd season. So when it was announced that it would be the Wildemount setting I was pretty happy with that.

Critical Role Here's The Official Wildemount Announcement!

I am happy with the release. Surprised and glad it is not a compilation of small adventures in the sword coast. I have no interest in that.

I am curious what the agreement is. It is an official setting. Stranger Things and Rick and Morty are not.

I would agree with Dagonlance, that was developed more or less in house though.

Critical Role Here's The Official Wildemount Announcement!

I am just little curious why this would be viewed as cross promotion. If streaming were a thing when Forgotten Realms was out I would almost bet adventures would have been streamed by someone. Also Ebberon which was a fan submission at the time. Point being that 2 of the most well known settings...

    D&D 5E March's D&D Book To Be Announced On January 9th

What makes me think it is a compilation book is the timing and who heads it up. We just had a campaign module drop. So it would be unlikely another campaign module would drop so soon. A setting book on the Realms could make sense, but I would doubt they would outsource major part of the realms...
