PF1 fixed one of biggest issues I had with 3.5 by simply using CMB/CMD. The only other major issue I have is when there are stacking bonuses at high levels (which are still there in PF1). So many bonus types....

I'm still happily playing PF1. PF2 veered too much into the D&D 4E-like sphere for my interest. (Which makes it so surprising they went there considering PF1 flourished because of D&D 4E.)
But, since there are about 1,000,000 PF1 supplements and adventures, I would not have needed PF2 anyway.

Unlikely. The Wilderlands is much, much bigger than the City State and Environs. (The City State and the surrounding area is all in Map 1 of the Wilderlands. There are 17 other Wilderlands maps covering other areas that are the same size as Map 1.)

The closest I can find is a sentence in the 2E product "On Hallowed Ground" which has a sentence that reads: "Her realm, hidden in the hills of Avernus, is a sprawling cave complex guarded by her offspring and her lovers." I'm guessing there's a Dragon article somewhere that precedes this...
