In-game and historical matters regarding the Jotunbrud feat

mmadsen: Hmm, I haven't thought of the possibility that it might be a Nordic(-ish) word. It seems reasonable though. :) In Sweden, giantblood translates into 'jätteblod', which is quite similar to 'jotunbrud', don't you think? I wonder if it could be an Icelandic word...

In-game and historical matters regarding the Jotunbrud feat

Hello, I have a new character, a human fighter from Damara, whom I've given the Jotunbrud feat (Races of Faerûn). I have some questions related to the feat as well as the Damaran society. The feat's description says: "You are descended from the giants who ruled the mountain-spanning empire of...

Is the program perchance written in Java or other portable language? Or do you have any plans of porting it to Linux?

[PCGAME] The Temple of Elemental Evil

It seems great, though I wonder which platforms are going to be supported. Realistically, it's Windows and only Windows; I hope, however, that Linux will be natively supported. Otherwise, perhaps WineX can manage to run it.

[OT] Who are YOU and what do you DO?

I'm 16 years old, (to be 17 later this year), and the words that would describe me best would be "computer freak" along with "that guy with the funny accent who always tells jokes and can't for anything keep his mouth shut and cell phone on 'no sound'". :) I've been playing RPG's since I was...

    A Prison Campaign

Imagine a prison in a fantasy world; a well-guarded complex with 50ft walls and the Black Gate from Two Tower's, opened by ogres (?) as well. Orcish guards, a high level aristocrat as warder (think Shawshank Redemption) – lawful evil in alignment – and a torture chamber for those who won't...

Need a tad of help for my next session! (My players, shooo!)

Thanks for the help! Gregor, the thing with Isthithia vs. Kossuth sounds interesting. I've always liked the idea of using the basic elements as different "sides", like good versus evil. Fire is a good representative of evil, but it could as well be neutral. Anyway, I'll see how I can integrate...

Need a tad of help for my next session! (My players, shooo!)

As a result of googling, I've found out that Loviatar, or Maiden of Pain as she's known as, is the goddess of hurt and agony. She is torture person... I mean, godified. And she opposes Ilmater. So if the good god in my campaign is Ilmater, then it's reasonable that Loviatar is the bad god...

Need a tad of help for my next session! (My players, shooo!)

Another idea. If a person dies inside of the church, he instantly becomes an undead. And the church's cellar functions as a morgue. Wohoo - this unlocks a hack-n-slash adventure! How should this technically be made? And should the undead's previous abilities decide his power? Any ideas...

Need a tad of help for my next session! (My players, shooo!)

Thanks for all the tips! The Unhollow spell sounds lika an excellent idea. And I think you've convinced me with the alignment shift, so that is now a closed chapter. :) As for my fellow Swedish mate... [Decamber changes back to original shape] Hejsan green slime! För att vara ärlig så lider...

Need a tad of help for my next session! (My players, shooo!)

Hello! I don't know if this is supposed to be in the rules forum, but since it's not really rules questions I post it here. I'd need some comments on an area I've planned for the next session. It's for two 10th-level PCs, and I'm neither sure of whether it's balanced or good FR-wise. A church...
