Started actively role playing with rules-systems just five years ago, but it hooked me from the start. I started as a dwarf gun mage in Shadowrun (fourth edition, I think...the one where Technomancers were their "psionics") with a tiny group and have since cycled through Dark Ages Vampire (flesh shaping is cool!) then through a variety of settings in Savage Worlds (primarily Deadlands and Deadlands Noir, though East Texas University hosted my favorite character.) I also just finished playing my (admittedly cliche'd) Twi'lek in a fun but short Star Wars campaign.
But, I'm mostly here for the DnD. I run a semi-home brewed 5e (custom world, and if my players role play something or persuade me eloquently enough, I'll let them bend rules to an extent), and play a centaur in a 3.5 a friend is running.
I came to find help with a particularly troublesome problem (interpersonal between two players, not with the rule set), but I wouldn't mind picking up a game or two (as a player, at least until I feel confident enough to GM more than one game!)
Feeling curious, just ask!
