    That....is very cool...I've been lustin gafter solid metal dice for a long time...and I keep ending up wanting to use odd-sided dice for various depraved purposes in my games...I don't see any mention of either you or your machinist friend selling sets of these?

    Yah, you're right, unless it's listed in the book as 14-level...but a few levels of Geomancer could be fun anyway; they only get alternating stack, rather than doubling it up like Theurge (well, they did in 3.0, anyhow), but htey get some other tricks that are fun as they go.

    Monster Ability Scores

    Remember that those are teh stats for an average monster of the type...hence all tens and elevens, before racial mods. They aren't PC level critters, so they don't get the "special" stats like a PC does (ie, 4 dice drop lowest, or the spreads, or whatever).

    ...Why not use a chain? If you make a whip "twice the normal whip thickness, 10 times the weight, and had one steel ring around every one-inch segment" it wouldn't be flexible like a whip. A chain, on the other hand, is actually quite flexible...

    Technically, the penalties for two-weapon fighting last until your next action, so I'd have to guess tha tyou can't "switch out" sooner than that.
