Started D&D with the original 3 book boxed set in 1974 and Chain Mail. Left D&D after 3.5 for Pathfinder, got tired of the WoC just churning out new versions and used Pathfinder. I reviewed 5E and it seems they have returned to their roots so am giving it a go.
