I interchangeably use American and British English for a variety of reasons, I was raised heavily on American media, I frequently read things written by Americans, and I have to write in American English for my job... which is writing. Flip-flopping between the two doesn't invalidate whichever I...
I'm just going to throw this out there: On the internet you speak to people from different cultures and different degrees of language proficiency. Not only is nitpicking someone like this a bit over the top in a forum post, it's hardly like casual internet conversation is the peak of proper...
I think realistically if they go down the Darksun route there will be a taster product most likely. We didn't get Eberron until they sold an entire book as a test bed, then resold that book again as a finished product with some bolt ons.
When they feel more confident releasing a Dark Sun...
I never said they wouldn't have to add more, just that there was a base established in Tashas.
You're also painting it like the only option is something like the Aberrant Mind Sorcerer, both Fighter and Rogue have psionic subclasses and with Telekinetic and Telepathic we have two psionic feats...
Whilst I could kind of see that, that line of thinking does make it seem like they created the art a long time ago when it didn't have a place to go, which doesn't seem like how they'd commission art pieces from a layout/financial standpoint.
Tasha's has by far the most Psionic content in it...
Huh, I was going through books for images for thumbnails and came across an interesting one. The art for the Tasha's Mind Whip spell is very Dark Sun: set in a desert, weapons made of natural nonmetal materials, and the spell is a psionic-y style of spell. The combination feels too much to be a...
Riri in WF was there for two reasons: the main one is to Spiderman her. We didn't get a Spiderman intro story, he just showed up in Civil War as an established (but realtively inexperienced) hero. This was Marvel's answer to avoiding the endless origin stories we get and what they did with Riri...
I think love and thunder suffered from Jane not being in previous movies. They had to reintroduce her, showcase their romance, her becoming lady Thor, her struggle with cancer, and her departure all in one movie when it wasn't even the central plot. Her story would have been better addressed in...
I've not seen all of them, I've overall enjoyed them but have some heavy criticisms. Love and Thunder and Multiverse of Madness were too much their directors movies, not marvel movies. Doctor Strange got progressively more a Raimi movie, to the point where the last act was just 80s nonsense that...
I mean, I just took a look at Dragonlance and couldn't see it at all? Just that it presented PHB characters in a Dragonlance lense and added Kender. Theros went further saying PHB races are: "side from humans, the races in the Player's Handbook are unknown on Theros, unless they're visiting from...
I think one of the hurdles contributing to it would probably be saying no to certain races and having a heavier hand in modifying the base game experience. They've just tended to adding things to base game instead of removing or changing in settings so far.
Not only is this entirely irrelevant to the OGL, which has no impact on paid DMing at all, and I'm not even sure WotC could do anything about that if they wanted to (which... why would they?), as a paid DM I'd like to lay out a thought or two for you to consider:
Just because you are not the...
I'm aware, I wasn't saying you'd pay the DM's Guild fee. I was using it as an example of them taking a cut at point of purchase. e.g. a 3rd party publisher sells a product on Beyond, the VTT store whatever it will be, WotC get's let's say a 20% cut.
If that publisher then does really well, then...
