    Complete Book of Eldritch Might...

I've heard rumor it's available in stores but haven't actually seen it; Amazon still has it as "Not Yet Available"

    D&D 3E/3.5 Best Overall Fighter/Mage Prestige Class... 3.5

I've had the same experience: with prep time and the casting of several buffings spells it seems an Eldritch Knight can temporarily raise his/her effectiveness close to a pure fighter level, but without that time the character definitely seems like a secondary fighter. I have not had anyone...

How do you deal with Roleplaying XP?

I've used a variety of methods, but settled on a flat equal rate for all characters present for the adventure, with a bonus for players who write an in-character journal. As DM, I'm not comfortable with awarding EPs just for combat: some of the most enjoyable evenings of gaming are those of...

Do you think they'd take him serious?

I introduced a gnome necromancer (Wizard-6, Loremaster-6) as the leader of a competing adventuring team to the party. The team, called "The Wake" were a mixture of individuals, including a gargoyle and an ancient psionist who was recently awakened and transfered into a new body. The Wake...

Any tips on spicing up an ocean voyage and/or battle?

Looks like I was one post too late! I've actually used this in two different campaigns with the party waking up in the middle of the night during a storm as the ship heads straight toward land and Harpies sing and scoop the crew off the deck. Once the party was too slow and the ship crashed...

    Help needed. Oneshot advice wanted.

I second that, espeically if you want a good dungeon crawl. I have the print version which is 3.0 based, not 3.5, and it would probably take a good 3 to 4 adventures. There's a mystery that kicks it off, but it's easily solved.

Did anyone else not get the latest issue of Dungeon?

Got em' both now and thanks for the updates on the delay: it's great to see that kind of feedback and interaction. :)

    Limited Wish and XP Cost

I had the same question and found that answer was given in Sage Advice in Dragon #315 (page 118), although not nearly as succinctly as Otterscrubber's answer. :) EDIT: Me no speell prutty sum dayz.

Howard Stern rips on D&D on his radio show

Ryan Dancey should give him a call.

    Non-Combat Events on the road

Traveling merchants or performers could have a small fair or market set up for an afternoon: perhaps villagers from nearby settlements, farms or towns know the traveling merchants always come at the same time of the month, season or year, so it's a good place to socialize, gossip, etc. Might be...

Did anyone else not get the latest issue of Dungeon?

No Dragon 315 or Dungeon 106 in my mailbox, have over a year left on both subscriptions, and saw em' both in stores yesterday.

    D&D 3E/3.5 Defenses Against Nightmare Spell (3.5)

Thank you: I forgot to check the range and that would certainly do it!

    D&D 3E/3.5 Defenses Against Nightmare Spell (3.5)

I'm looking for any suggestions on how a character can prevent attacks by a Nightmare spell, aside from the use of a Dispel Evil (as per the Nightmare spell description). Specifically, would a Protection from Evil or Magic Circle against Evil spell (assuming a long enough duration to cover a...

    Fiery Dragon Productions: Awesome

Fiery Dragon and the counters rock! Dollar for dollar, they are the best accessory out there. For anyone looking to store the counters, a couple of suggestions: 1. Most sporting good stores have plastic trays in the fishing/sport goods section: at the local department store around here, I've...
