Here's a dumb question: Do level adjusted characters have hit die for their "level adjustment"? Ie. - if a tiefling character starts with 1,000 XP (1st level class), does he get HP for ONLY the class, or does he get HP for the class AND the level adjustment? I hope this is clear.......

Geez......... For God's sake people. My post was merely to ascertain how different folks treat the Realms, if they play them. I did NOT intend for this to become a "My World is Better Than Yours" slug-fest. I appreciate everyone's input, but I have to ask the moderators to close this thread...

Wow.......... I really don't want this post to turn into a flame-fest. I only wanted to get a feel for how others handled the Realms. I have the old grey boxed set, and a few other sourcebooks (I still have FR1 - Waterdeep, my favorite!!). Some of it seemed over the top, and I drifted away...

Alright. Let me re-phrase somewhat. Do the realms work with the normal rules for magic/treasure allocation in the DMG? Also, the FRCS itself says "the Realms are steeped in magic" in the intro. I guess this is where the impression of "high magic" comes in. That doesn't mean everyone has or...

How many of you play in the FRCS, and have "toned down" the high magic in it. Does it work? The newer edition seems to handle this easier than 2nd ed. Just curious.

No. I think it says that you are disabled ONLY if you are at zero hp exactly. If you are in negative territory, you are stable but unconcious. Thats how we play it, anyway.

Marienburg.... Personally, Hogshead Publishing's "Marienburg" city book for WFRP is one of the best that I have seen. Some things are WH specific, but there is enough info in there to provide hooks. Just my 2 cents. :)
