IDK, I figured out 'near' and 'far' back in my Sesame Street days, and that's pretty much all you need to know about 13th Age's gridless combat. If you are trying to figure out how far 'far' is you are not doing it right. It's supposed to be something you can eyeball.

I thought Books-A-Millions were everywhere, like Starbucks and glitter. Maybe not. Anyway in my part of the world it is a chain of large bookstores which tends to be a little cheaper and more disorganized than Barnes & Noble. Generally speaking I doubt the staff know Pathfinder or 5th edition...
