PDF if i can get it. I dont have to go to the store, I dont have to wait for a mail order. And since I have access to some nice printers and copiers at work I can make multiple copies easily as necessary. PDF's rock! But if there is no alternative print will do.

You are focusing to much on 2e. Dark Sun, under 2e was a radical departure from the standard. People aren't focusing on 2e and using it as a bible, rather they are focusing on Dark Sun and using it as the bible. But obviously you dont care about this as your second comment quoted above...

I am looking for a halfbreed type of race that is inherently magical. Something similar to say the Asimar and Teiflings but instead of being celestial or fiendish in ultimate origin something much more neutral and magical based. Make sense? Any suggestions? Or suggestions for races that...

For anyone not familar with DS a good reference to get a quick feel for why things are different is to read over the timeline that is one the wizards site. http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/DStimeline.rtf It tell's you why alot of races arent around anymore.
