Yeah I'm hoping I can get the other PCs to help. Having a wizard's help would be really really handy. Not sure if I can count on that though. Its still very early and we're still gathering players. And considering the past, I'm not sure if the others will cooperate well, lol.
I mostly...
I was afraid you were gonna say that.
Well, I didn't want to have to pay a whole heck of a lot. I may have to do just exactly that though. As for how much, I really don't know at this point. But I don't want to be knee-deep in debts to where I can't concentrate on buying stuff I want to...
Hey guys. I'm about to play in a d&d 3.5 game and my character has a lot of equipment that I really don't want to carry around everywhere. I don't want to have to carry a mule or horse around either because, well that animal would be a liability I'd have to watch over constantly (I'm playing a...
But for as expansive as that guide is, you know that guides aren't everything in this game and that new builds are made all the time. Don't get me wrong. I'm following this guide almost to the letter. But I'm trying to deduce if a single level (level 1) of Ranger would hamper my ability to DPS...
Where? I've already looked at that gigantic guide. I want one level of ranger but I wish to know if it would hinder me significantly. I do not see an answer to that question with the guide you linked me to, though there is a lot of useful information there.
Hello there! I'm making a psychic warrior and I'm thinking of taking a level of Ranger at level 1 to open up some good beginning skills and provide the track feat for potentially going into the Slayer class. I'm not sure if my character will become a slayer yet but I know I want the benefits...
The problem isn't the ride bonus. Its that 5% chance of epic fail if I rolled a 1. I already take that chance every time I attack, no need to take it while simply riding in battle. My ride skill is sufficient, though bonuses to it are good.
And again, you're pointing me to feats one must...
Yeah... I saw the Saddleback feat but only after I made the character. I can try to see if the dm will let me get some ranks in knowledge(local) so I can take that feat but I foubt he'll allow it :(. That's why I was hoping to look up something else that may allow me to get what I'm after.
Hmm... I'd like to avoid splashing another multiclass. It'd be difficult to fit one in. Which book is the Templar class you're looking at in? The only one I know of is Defenders of the Faith and that Templar doesn't have Skill Mastery.
Let me flesh out the character a bit for you guys...
Topic heading speaks for itself. I've made a mounted character who specializes in charging down opponents. I've conquered all other problems with making mounted characters more viable (getting a mount that scales, take the right feats, etc.) However there is one thing I have not found and that's...
