Magic is pretty exciting to find. If rarity is an issue (and I assume the concern of magic item bloat is a problem if it's not rare), I'd make use of the variant option where some items do NOT recharge. Depends on a person's campaign tastes of course.

This might just be me, but they need to bring back Forging the Realms articles. And add in Forging versions for Greyhawk, Darksun etc. in their own columns. That way we'd see some coverage until/if books are released for campaign settings.
