Level demographics in "your" D&D 3.X

Say you have an army of 500 troops. What percent of the troops would be of each level? For example, 80% 1st, 15% 2nd, 4% 3rd, 1% 4th, etc. OR something?

Level demographics in "your" D&D 3.X

In my group, everyone is on the E6 bandwagon and everyone feels that high level characters sort of "don't make sense", as it were. :) So for us, at least, it's not an issue. When the average guy is a first level commoner or warrior, a 7th level character is like unto a God. From about that...

Where would you put the average soldier on the battle field? 3rd level?

Level demographics in "your" D&D 3.X

During the short time I spent with D&D 3E, I was into the E6 variant, and that has colored my view of world level demographics in fantasy worlds. My general assuptions were: 1st level = Professional (90% of the population) 2nd level = Elite (9% of the population) 3rd level = Master 4th level...

    Ice Storm duration (PHB p.163)

The 9th level Daily Wizard attack Ice Storm. It says it creates a zone of ice that lasts "unitl the end of the encounter or 5 minutes". Does that mean which ever is shorter? Which ever is longer? Or which ever the caster chooses (meaning it could be different from time to time)? The party...

Ever had a player in your group throw a tantrum or worse? Most uncomfortable moment?

While I was DMing, I had a player get mad at me for not letting his character have something (I can't even remember what), so when I looked away he whipped his PHB at my head frisbee style from across the table. The corner of the book hit me just below the eye. I sat there bleeding and in...

Generic Human Warblade 1: First Stance

For punishing stance, you have to accept the -2 AC to get any benefit from the stance. But with stance of clarity, if you are facing more than one opponent, you just simply don't enter the stance. And then when everybody but one is dead, then you go into it and benefit without losing anything...

Replaced? Stances can't be replaced. ......Unless by "replace" you just mean "use instead of".
