I saw the Hobbit cartoon in the fourth grade and was enthralled. I received the Basic D&D rules (red-box) for Christmas that year and have been an avid gamer since. I've run most every system put out by TSR in the 80's and early 90's, but D&D will always be the greatest game devised to me.
