The fact that they are listing G&G Remastered as a new release on the front page of their website, including sketch cover, special edition cover, etc.. makes it seem a lot like it is more than just an errata reprint.
I think this situation is a real shame. WK & WotC had an opportunity to do a mini out of one of the many iconic female characters from throughout D&D's history. By purposely choosing to take this action, and clearly look to incite a large portion of the fanbase (yes there will be some who take...
@Jahydin - thank you for your in depth info. I had only just learned about this game a few weeks ago. I have tons of OSR retroclone games, but I looked closer at this one after reading your insights and I love it! I just ordered a physical/pdf from drive thru - it’s pricey, but it’s awsome...
I thought I was going crazy when I saw all these videos popping up on YouTube about Hasbro selling D&D! I watched a couple and just couldn't buy it, wondering if I was the only one who was doubtful. Thankfully I see from this thread I am not so crazy after all!
The YouTube algorithm really...
Oh man this is going to be hard to keep up with PF now. That is a pretty big price increase. I appreciate that they have AoN, but I dont particularly like using it. I like the feel of the book, the extra flavour and the artwork. Im glad that AoN exists though for those who use it!
I also find...
I agree fully with this - Paizo likes to put on the "we're like you!" customer service face, but they are obviously a business too, and not too dissimilar to WotC. I really like PF (both 1e and 2e) but this was a pretty tone deaf play. I get the divesting from OGL stuff, but the presentation...
Disappointing. I had hoped they would have done something else since they have done Eberron all the time. Congrats to those who love Eberron though. I hope one day they at least open Greyhawk to DMs Guild.
This is great news! I always liked FWS’s work with Pathfinder. As someone posted earlier, one of Paizo’s strengths is their narrative writing in their AP’s so I think having some of the old guard from Paizo is only a positive.
Is there anyone else who has come over to WotC from Paizo? Someone...
Oh really? I got mine at Gen Con in launch year so I figured I was screwed. I got another one from my FLGS and tried to exchange with them later when that one came undone but they said that they couldn't exchange and that it was a widespread issue with Paizo.
Is it confirmed that later print...
Given the increased page count for the Core Rulebook, I really hope they are careful with the binding this time. The Starfinder binding in the Core Rulebook was dreadful. I went through 2 copies of the Starfinder book (both separately purchased) and wasn’t able to get a replacement sent. Really...
Completly agree with this. I really want them to get Greyhawk open again. It would have also been nice to have a setting book as well but I suppose that isn’t where their interest lies. Not saying we can’t have Ravnica, but would love to see some older D&D settings opened up first on DMs Guild.
I dosagree with point 1 and think adherence to the rules is actually a good thing for the DM. I prefer that we are indeed following the rules. I also like house rules but prefer that they are upfront in the campaign or dealt with as a group as situations arise that may demand it. In fact house...
Return of the Runelords is not the final AP for 1st edition - the final AP is Tyrant’s Grasp, which launches in Feb 2019 and wraps just in time for the launch of 2nd edition. I can see why people think Return of the Runelords is last though as it seems like it would be a “coming full circle”...
I don’t care about Eberon personally, we have had books for that setting the last 2 editions. I think it is pretty likely that will be one of them.
Id MUCH prefer a revisit to Greyhawk, but from the flavor perspective of the Gygax era folio and WoG box set! I know that 3e had a Greyhawk focus...
