Huh, you know what happens to casuals...

I've been reading through this. It might work really well for the kind of campaign I want to run next: a casual weekly dungeon crawl.

PCs aren't helpless in the dark either, just really disadvantaged. A clever player can probably find ways to manage some scouting.
