So I never read the classic dnd novels and my plan is to tackle The Dark Elf trilogy, Songs & Swords series and the Last Mythal

DnD art inspired me to become an artist myself so yes, it is very important to me. But, I very much prefer one great piece that captures the spirit of the game, like a visual backbone, over lots of art that aren't that inspiring.
