Can't agree with this more. v3 was a disppointment in so many ways that I can't say that Fuzion was the worst part, but my players and I liked Interlock and thought in ran very, very well.

And Rituals.
I love the mechanic for Ritual magic, but it seems mostly like a wasted opportunity - on top of the somewhat odd applications of Concentration.

Honestly, and perhaps it's an artifact of my DMing style, it doesn't really become that much of a buff - or perhaps it's that the fact that spellcasters are such high value targets that this compensates. Compared to 1E magic generally feels so nerfed in comparison that none of my players feel...
I've plenty of solo games and even a couple of campaigns and they can be fun - with the right player/DM. When they work well it's for pretty much all the reasons people have listed, when it goes poorly, it's often for the "burnout" that a couple of people have mentioned or because the player...
Personally I don't like the way that 5E used Concentration (but I'm also an old 1E DM) - so my house rule is that character's can Concentrate on spell's equal to their Proficiency bonus - and then I'm ruthless in making them roll to check it, and equally ruthless in applying penalties.

Heya,
So this is a truely obscure piece of fluff from the CP2020 (& 2013) canon setting that I'm trying to track down further details on.
There was a "Cat Cult" mentioned a couple of times, the result of a Vodun priest helping spec ops troops during the Central American War handle their Black...
LOL, been playing SciFi and Horror lately - forgetting what's stored in boxes in the basement.
There was also the City of Delights boxed set for... Calimport? Plus all the related materials over editions.

Thinking about it there was also City of Lies for Legend of the Five Rings, plus Manifest in/for Ghostwalk had a really decent hook and some details for 3/3.5. In addition to the City State of the Invincible Overlord there was City State of the World Overlord - plus, and I'm really embarrassed...
I've done that as well as I really don't mind high level casters maintaining many spells at a time - I also link having a familiar to some Advantage and Disadvantage mods for Concentration as well.
