Well there's some contention that the armor changes were as much or more due to mobility being seen as important again. There was actually a fair amount of armor made and carried for a short while during the ACW. Most was discarded after or more like during the first long march. Firearms were...
That seems very reasonable to me. If firearms are modeling relativly early black powder pieces they shouldn't have huge amounts of penetration. I can see them doing pretty heavy damage but you really don't see firearms with much penetration until very late in the 19th or early 20th century.
That was nicely done. They seemed to be pushing the setting more than the rules system though. The focus of the Pathfinder vid was the rules system (I think). The target audience was a bit different also I believe. Still it was much more coherent and the music really did fit the video...
Thanks for that. I saw that it was by Gamerati but didn't know anything about the company. From the web page I couldn't tell just what their product was. Would be interesting to know if it was commissioned or not.
Well a device incorporating a variant of this might work:

As a GM if some group got in the habit of trying to prevent clerics from praying to their deity I would check periodically to see if they...
Any of the post 6.0 versions of PcGen handle Pathfinder pretty well. I thought it was a bit easier to use HeroLab right of the bat and it looks prettier. Having to buy all the supplements as well as the program can get pricey though. The supplements come out faster though.
That will teach me to be more carefull in my replies. I was actually asking in regards to this:
But it was at the end of the first page and I missed the fact that we were currently on the 3rd.
I have Hero Labs. My wife likes it a lot better than Pcgen. I tend to prefer pcgen however. Free...
I suspect I'm older than you are. I don't see that age has much if anything to do with it. For a pen and paper game why even think about a 3D trailer (of course I'm not a great fan of 3D either). Now if you look at some of the pathfinder on line demo's they are a bit more advanced. But...
Why so negative? Certainly I've seen better but I've also seen a lot worse. It's also not even clear to me that your assumption #1 is correct. The appeal to younger audience factor would also seem to make it worth a shot as far as Paizo is concerned.
One thing I do to throw a little bit of randomness in to point buy is I allow my players the option of keeping the scores as they build or rolling a D6 for each stat (i.e. all or none) with the following effects.
1 or 2 minus one for that stat
3 or 4 no effect
5 plus one for that stat
6 plus 2...
Guess I'm not the target audiance either since I'm over 60 and also already own a fair amount of Pathfinder books. I didn't even realize that the music would be considered "metal" rather liked it though.
