actually i was thinking of making a gnome or a halfling for the small size so they could ride a medium mount and take it anywhere. also if i go gnome and take a dire badger he could talk to it, even if its just for 1 min/day as for class, straight fighter nothing special.

are there any rules out there for advancing mounts. i would love to make a PC who rides one, but what happens when you reach lvl 15 and you're still running around on a 3 HD horse?

Merak, IIRC the player in question here wanted to make a new PC anyway. Also, I would like to point out that you didn't seem to mind using that same tactic on the archer. Did the arrowhawks happen to miss him and tag the monk on the second round? I think you're just upset you didn't take me...
