OK, I'll drop the number of kobolds down, thanks. And then I'll either drop the dragon and switch out to a dragon born or maybe make the dragon significantly weaker. Thanks.
Hi,
Anyone have tips for a new DM? I have two or three players depending on the day, and we're working on the Kobold Hall adventure in the 4.0 DMG.
It's taking a long time, and we average 2 encounters per 6 hour gaming session. It just feels slow. Part of it is the players don't have their...
I'm new to DMing and am having trouble managing a group of 2-3 players in the mini adventure in the DMG, Kobold Hall.
Do you think I should have the HPs and also take out a creature or two?
Oh, I forgot something - for this last situation to work, the monk would need to be carrying around a large sized kama, right? Because weapons don't resize. So, the most likely situation would be to attack with claw/claw/bite/rend or a flurry of blows. Unless the monk carried around a...
They said no flurry + natural attacks. But, it's possible to attack twice (+6/+1) then claw/claw/bite/rend, right? This makes Polymorph extremely buff, does it not?
If I understand right:
an 8th level monk (BAB +6/+1) polymorphed into a troll could attack with a claw, a bite and 2 kama strikes. Or 2 claws, a bite, and a rend (if the claws hit). Or a flurry using monk weapons or unarmed attack damage (2d8).
And magic equipment would resize, but not...
Could a monk polymorphed into a troll use his claws & rend in a flurry? Or would it be a choice to do claws/bite/rend or an unarmed flurry at (for 8th level) 2d8?
On a side note, when someone is polymorphed, what happens to their equipment? Does it grow to match their new size, or meld since...
Good point. That makes it more manageable, the number difference isn't quite so large. But yeah, Dim. Door is necessary to have prepared.
Question: Have any of you changed Evards, and if so, how?
My party is 8-10th level (mine at 10th), so I guess we're at the peak of its usefulness/brokenness.
About Freedom of Movement & Divine Power, they don't seem to help you if you're already caught in the grapple. Since they have a somatic component, you can't cast it right? Short of using a wand...
How do you justify it not being overpowered? I feel more than a bit biased, as it's my favorite spell. I keep ruining my DM's day in Return to the Temple of E. Evil. ;) It almost seems overpowered because (as we were doing) there's no touch attack, no SR, no save. It kills clerics (no dimension...
Do Evard's Tentacles need a melee touch attack first? Or, do they skip that step and move directly to the opposed check.
My DM think's Evard's is extremely overpowered. What do you all think?
Sorry if this has been asked before, I don't have a search function. Thanks.
