    Dungeon mapper?

When the heck did something as simple as creating a directory for the tiles and editing a configuration file make one a "hacker-type"? I mean, dear lord when did basic computer usage and comprehension make one a "hacker-type". I blame Apple for this travesty. Or AOL.

I have the Eberron Player's Guide and Kingdom of Ghouls

I don't think Dragonborn changed all that much from 3.5 to 4e. Certainly not like tiefling. The line on Dragonborn in Eberron didn't change from 3e though. I guess the real reason I mention it though is most of the people here asking about Dragonborn ask the question as if Dragonborn were not in...

I have the Eberron Player's Guide and Kingdom of Ghouls

Quick note. A lot of folks are asking about Dragonborn in this book. I just wanted to point out since Dragonborn were in 3e they were detailed in Eberron in 3e already. I know for a fact that the role of Dragonborn is mentioned in Players Guide to Eberron that came out for 3e. I'm pretty sure...

    GTS 2009 D&D Seminar - the Rouse discusses D&D

In response to your post, I said Pathfinder is the biggest problem. Not the sole reason, the biggest one. It's the one I hear about the most. We're not losing 4e players to Mutants and Masterminds games, even though M&M is concentrated awesome and also OGL. I disagree with what you say about...

    Retailer's Stance on PDF Deals

There's two kinds of retailer in any economy. Those who can adapt and deal with industry changes or dead men walking. Guess which kind Marcus King and Jane Witt are? I've encountered the same thing you're talking about with the crummy FLGS. FLGS stores where they would charge me $150 for a $80...

    GTS 2009 D&D Seminar - the Rouse discusses D&D

Scott, I'm in a gaming group that's had a successful RPGA gaming group going with a decent number of home games, so the split that's occurred is something I've had the, unfortunate, experience of first hand. I think the largest problem you're having is with Pathfinder. Pathfinder seems to have...

D20 Future Q&A With Rodney "Moridin" Thompson and JD Wiker!!

Well I just assumed you had an idea in mind of what areas that were cut (Like the old starship combat rules.) that you thought should have been in. Considering there's been several references to such things surely you two have some short, small list in mind? Plus it need not be a disccusision...

D20 Future Q&A With Rodney "Moridin" Thompson and JD Wiker!!

If JD and Moridin would like to take the time to list some of the major items that were cut out of the book (like the starship combat rules.) that they think were really great it'd make it really easy on the rest of us to mail/post to WOTC to put them into a web enhancement. Just a list (and...

    [d20 Future/Star Wars] Starships?

Well first of all I'll say I'm not an expert. I do enjoy my history, but I'll be the first to admit I haven't made an accurate enough study of individual battles, nor am I an encyclopedia on various ships. That being said I can comment on things I've seen in things such as flight sims, movies...

D20 Future Q&A With Rodney "Moridin" Thompson and JD Wiker!!

Well thanks for everyone's input, and clearly pointing out a hideously glaring error in my thought processes about that -5 business. Personally I'm very used to the idea of seperate weapon systems on a machine using a different attack roll for each weapon, without adding penalties for additional...

Why are d20 Mecha so slow?

Yeah but also in Mechwarrior (2nd ed. I never did pick up 3rd.) hexes are 5m as compared to Btech's 30m hexes. Also have you considred using the mecha d20 SRD to try and convert mecha from Btech. Not saying it still won't be horrid (Damn you penalties to additional attacks!) but it's a lot more...

    [d20 Future/Star Wars] Starships?

Yeah I think it's a good idea for everyone who likes space combat to just realize that unless you're using fighter craft it's considered a naval encounter. Larger spaceships are always going to be based of naval ships, fighters after, duh, fighter planes. I mean if you compare a regular "space...

D20 Future Q&A With Rodney "Moridin" Thompson and JD Wiker!!

Yeah that does seem to be the case, but it isn't mentioned, and it's something I think should be because remember with characters those additional attacks only come from Base Attack Bonus, but a ship has no BAB to be used to designate the # of attacks. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks of...

D20 Future Q&A With Rodney "Moridin" Thompson and JD Wiker!!

Ok then could you explain something else to me then? The Strike Cruiser PL7 has the option of having one of a set of two batteries of weapons. Let's say for example we use it as written and we pick the first set of weapons for it. So it has a battery of 4 antimatter guns and a battery of 3...

D20 Future Q&A With Rodney "Moridin" Thompson and JD Wiker!!

I have a feeling that it was meant to say they cannot have character class levels but might have ordinary levels. (IE: The NPC class levels.) Also as far as the starships go. I don't think their HP is too high, considering that more than one attack is allowed as part of the normal attack action...
