I'm the player whose character was CdG by the BBEG, but not the player who got angry about the whole thing. I honestly don't understand why he got as upset as he did about a character that wasn't his. Perhaps it was coming on top of having his PC Disintegrated prior, but it's D&D... chit...

Same thing happened to me when I bought a Holiday Millionaire Raffle ticket last December. The guy who sold it to me wished me good luck, and I walked away clutching what I thought was a winning ticket. Alas, I'm still poor.... And still trying to recruit people for our campaign!
