    D&D Movie/TV There’s a Baldur’s Gate TV Show Coming!

I did not know that. Certainly not the first famously thing that's passed me by. But very cool to know.

    D&D Movie/TV There’s a Baldur’s Gate TV Show Coming!

I can't think of any reason she would say no to playing the character in the show. I assume she's wrapped up her work in Solasta II, or close to it.

What videogames are you playing in 2026?

I'm looking forward to Star Wars Zero Company, but they haven't provided an update on release yet other than "2026 sometime". In the meantime, I've been playing Timberborn, which is a lot of fun if you like providing beavers with a venue for their dance parties.

Worlds of Design: The Hierarchy of Authenticity

By necessity, PCs in games like D&D are going to be fairly unrealistic. I mean, you could spend more time on developing character background and personality, but the truth is that anyone subjected to the constant peril and violence that a PC endures would realistically suffer PTSD that would...

A Deep Dive into Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun

Is it weird the calendar has two months labelled 11 and none labelled 9?

D&D General How Much D&D Stuff Is There Anyway? Part 4: Novels

I'm not sure I recall when banks were happy to invest in companies generating 5% returns. You might be thinking of scenarios where a bank would be willing to lend money to a company generating a 5% return, but that's a very different thing than investing. When a bank lends you money, their...

D&D General How Much D&D Stuff Is There Anyway? Part 4: Novels

Sure, but consider that corporations are financed through a combination of debt and equity. On the equity side, investors require certain returns, whether in dividends or in share price improvement, or else they'll take their investment dollars elsewhere. On the debt side, the profit margin has...

Starbreeze Cancels Co-Op D&D Video Game

I don't think BG3 was a fluke at all. I think BG3 and the D&D MMO were successful because playing them actually felt like playing D&D. (To a large extent, anyhow). A lot of these games have as much to do with D&D as a tube of D&D-branded toothpaste would. I mean, I like Porsches, but that...

Hasbro Opens New Wizards of the Coast Video Game Studio in Montreal to Support D&D Franchise

I'm less interested in assuming the initiative will fail and more interested in fantasizing about a gold box remaster.

DMs Guild One Night in Westgate Solo Adventure

One Night in Westgate A Solo D&D Adventure for level 1 player characters Something's rotten in Westgate. Something’s always rotten in Westgate, but most of the time you can step around it, avoid it, pretend it isn’t there. Not this time. This time you’re pulled into it when a desperate old...

Monsters & More: An In-Depth Review of the 2025 D&D Monster Manual

Do we know if they'll have monsters named after classes? It's always been a pet peeve of mine. Druids and Bards are player characters, not monsters.

In-Depth Review of the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide

My concern is the section on creating creatures. It's one and a half pages of very simple guidance on modifying existing monsters, with nothing approaching mechanics for actually making new monsters. I'm hoping someone will jump in here and tell me those rules have been reserved for the Monster...
