WotC Would you buy WotC products produced or enhanced with AI?

So, if they train AI on their archive of text and images they paid writers and artists to create, meaning they won't have to hire those writers or artists again? Hard no.

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

I was lucky enough to play a game DM'd by Crawford. What was funny, is the guy directly across the table (in the Google Photo below), with the mustache, is the Italian gentleman who runs sageadvice.eu, which collects Crawford's Sage Advice tweets. Google Photo

WotC 5E Designer Mike Mearls Talks About The OGL Crisis

This is the solution that fits every business ever, and sadly not enough understand this simple concept. I retired last year, and I can divide every job I've ever had into two buckets - every company that listened to employee and trusted their expertise were great jobs and strong companies...

RPG Evolution: Clear Gaming Paper Tiles

We were essentially doing that in the late 70's. We'd draw maps on large graph or hex paper, then we bought a large piece of thin plexiglass to put on top. It both held down the map (which had been rolled up, so tended to curl), and allowed us to mark things up.

    D&D 5E Just Finished a Lv.1 thru Lv.20 Campaign -- Ask Me Anything

My very first 5e character was a Bard who I took from 1st to 20th. The high levels were a lot of fun, even though we were ridiculously OP.

    Michelle Trachtenberg

All we know right now is she recently had a liver transplant. That could have been due to liver cancer, or cirrhosis (which could have been from any number of things...) We just don't know. Any way you slice it, it's sad to lose someone so young.

    Basic D&D, Holmes Edition - a review

We started with Holmes Basic, then got the AD&D (1e) books as they came out. We played a mix of the two. The parts we either found confusion or were missing, we made up our own rules. The parts we found tedious (weapon speed factors?), we ignored. It was very much a mish-mash, and we loved it.

D&D General Why Mike Mearls left D&D, an interview by Ben Riggs.

Several years ago at GameHole Con, Mearls said something along the lines of (paraphrasing from memory here...): There are no plans for a new version. What will eventually happen is a consolidation. You've got class/subclass/spell/etc. info in the PHB, Xanathar's Guide, Tasha's, etc. It's getting...

How likely are you to use D&D for your next game?

As one long-running (7+ years) campaign wraps up, we're planning to do the Pathfinder 2e Beginner Box next, then see what the group thinks. Either continue with PF2e or go back to 5e 2014. No plans to use the 2024 rules are this time. Other long-running 5e campaign has a while to go still, but...

    D&D 5E Don't Throw 5e Away Because of Hasbro

The OGL thing caused me to look at other systems. After reading through and now playing PF2e for the past 2 years (while still playing in two long-running 5e campaigns), I can say that I'm (mostly) abandoning 5e because in all honesty, I think PF2e is a much better system. (I played in a PF1e...
