Oh I like it, and now I've read the bit in the beginning I really want to play in a party of pious protector, lancer, gambler and leyline master.
Looking forward to both more single class feats and motif classes.
The only thing I struggle with is synergy in the name, but that's just my brain...
So, I've been continuing to think. I know the answer to this depends on what I'm looking for from rogue but...
Human ingenious focus heritage gift gives a floor of 10 on a d20 roll for thieves tools and the arcana skill. Useful for locks and traps. It also buffs concentration for cleric...
No need to apologise, it's been a very useful discussion in terms of lining what should happen up in my head and getting an argument consistent with other situations.
Thanks to everyone else who has contributed as well.
It's not an idea for anything immediate so I might pop it on the back...
This is a really helpful comparison that I find quite convincing. If I pretend that my guardian spirits work the same as a big stick and remember that the rules aren't a physics simulator. There is a resource cost in the form of concentration though.
The comparison with hazardous areas is more...

If forced movement works then the cleric moving should trigger the damage
That would be really helpful. I'm working of a5e tools at the moment and away from books.
Looks like it might be back to the drawing board for combat tactics
So I'm noodling around with @Timespike 's multiclass manual vol 1 and looking at a cleric rogue.
In particular I'm looking at ways to move very fast and trigger lots of Spirit guardians damage. I've come up with a few ideas:
Wood elf gets extra speed
Labyrinth Priest gets extra speed
Bonus...
And my house move has completed, it's almost like you were waiting!
Thanks for the continued clear communication on the project, I hope volume 2 is smoother for you.
