    I really agree about the overview maps. What I really like, for example, is the hex-map from Hammerfast and its surroundings. Does anyone know if there are more (official) hex maps from the Nentir Vale? Does Vor Rukoth say anything about the surroundings?

Personally, my first impression from Thunderspire was: fight Hobgoblins, then fight Duergar, just like KotS is like "first fight kobolds, then fight goblins, then fight hobgoblins (with some undead in between)".
