Glad to hear you like them for the most part.
Since this is one of the images I worked on, I can tell you about it. The forest in the background is real. And most of it is unaltered. Just a strange forest, I guess. I actually haven't seen the image in print, so I can't tell you anything...
Uh... :( Sorry, my ignorance is showing through here. I think it lost something in the translation... I would say that my latin is rusty, but in reality, it's rusted all the way through, leaving nothing but dust behind. :)
I am truly sorry to hear that. Valar Project made sure the book was wrapped so the content couldn't be viewed by minors. So, they held up their end of the responsibility "chain". I feel that all FLGS owners/employees should be responsible and make sure this doesn't end up in a minor's grasp...
Thanks for your opinions. I don't have my copy of the book yet, so I can't see all of the images you mentioned. I will have to take a look when I get my copy.
Hey, you know what? I think it would be great if I could post a clearly stated question, and others could turn the topic into a great discussion on latin gibberish!
Heck yeah!
Just for the cost of the artwork in the BoEF, there were many costs involved:
Photographer
Some of the models
Props
Costumes
Photo manipulation artists
Etc...

(One of the photo-manipulation artists on the Book of Erotic Fantasy)
