    D&D 5E State of D&D

I have similar feelings as the OP. I didn't like 4E for the most part, however, I did buy a few supplements (Menzoberranzan and the Underdark books) in addition to the core rules. When 5E finally came out, I was really excited because I figured it would be supported as well as 4E (or, at...

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like RAVENLOFT

How about a Ravenloft AP and a 160 page Ravenloft Adventurer's Guide to go with it?

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like RAVENLOFT

I think I know how you feel but, at this point, we should probably just be happy that the game is still in print and that we are occasionally thrown a bone. I'd much prefer a different approach from WotC instead of the all story, all the time thing but that's not likely to change anytime soon.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like RAVENLOFT

Ravenloft would be a nice choice for an upcoming product. If this book does come to pass (and that's a big maybe), it should have its own look and feel, like actually use the Ravenloft logo that we're all familiar with instead of just pumping out another book that looks like all the other D&D...

D&D 5E Settings played in D&D: cause or effect?

This is what I would prefer, some shorter generic modules and things like 32 or 64 page books on running a city or adventuring on the planes, etc... just some variety would be nice. Maybe WotC will swing around to this way of thinking eventually but I'm not going to hold my breath. I think...

D&D 5E Settings played in D&D: cause or effect?

This is how I do it as well. The map of the FR is used pretty much as is but the details of what and who exists on that map are up to me. I use the FR setting (mainly 2E and 3E) as a guide and then decide what I want to change. For example, I like the idea of Cormyr but some of the published...

Here's That Hi-Res Sword Coast Map

Mistwell, don't bother quoting me and asking questions. You're on my ignore list and have been for some time.

Yeah, you know how those people are :)

Here's That Hi-Res Sword Coast Map

Some player's guides did have pull out maps. The Player's Guide to Greyhawk from 1998 was such a product.

Here's That Hi-Res Sword Coast Map

Good points Jeff, pull out maps were the norm until recently and hi res maps of the Forgotten Realms were free on the WotC website for many years. Many people here seem to have suddenly forgotten those things.

Here's That Hi-Res Sword Coast Map

I guess there's going to be a lot of people doing it wrong then, including myself.

Here's That Hi-Res Sword Coast Map

I downloaded it yesterday. Great map and I'm glad to see that it's now free for everyone because its awesomeness can only help to draw people to our hobby. This map goes well with the SCAG book and makes it more of a complete and worthwhile product.

    D&D 5E pitch an idea

A campaign setting based on Paul Kemp's Egil & Nix books... also, a book about the planes, a real horror campaign setting (doesn't have to be Ravenloft, just something genuinely scary and creepy with an R rated feel instead of the PG stuff we usually get). Also, another monster book would be...

Mike Schley's MASSIVE Forgotten Realms Map From SCAG!

There are circles everywhere dude. In the hills, grasslands, etc... I agree that it would have been a nice touch to have things like Red Larch and Phandalin marked on the map too.
