    I have the Draconomicon!

I got the book too. Pretty good, a lot of maybe useless detail but a lot of good game stuff as well. But why are the dragon deities so damned weak? Io is an INTERMEDIATE god???????

VP/WP for D&D...(Now in post form!)

One thing that many VP/WP systems seem to neglect to address (including this one) are other factors that might decrease vitality. You would have to incorporate such things as swimming, running, and a host of other tiring activities, including combat, into VP loss.

    Kryptonian template?

Str+1000 is really overdoing it. That's 10^59 times stronger than a normal human. That's 59 zeroes behind the 1. Superman can lift perhaps a few thousand or ten thousand tons. Str+90 is about right.

Dragon Gods (Aasterinian, Chronepsis, and Faluzure)

The problem is that the ELH and D&Dg, as they are now, are not exactly complementary...well, not yet...

Dragon Gods (Aasterinian, Chronepsis, and Faluzure)

Out of the mosnter types, only Dragon and Outsider are really comparable in power...Undead is a little weaker, and the others really lack the skill points. Of course, the dragon deities were born as deities too, so they could be outsiders... I'm experimenting with making deities like Titania...

Dragon Gods (Aasterinian, Chronepsis, and Faluzure)

Okay, now that I'm home, I can reference the points better. First, her statistics are as a Great Gold. Yes. Breath weapons as Great Brass plus spiral of degen. Spell Immunity: Hers is weaker than Bahamut's...spells below 5th level (in other words, spells of 4th level and lower) do not affect...

Dragon Gods (Aasterinian, Chronepsis, and Faluzure)

While I admittedly looked briefly at that, Aasterinian really should be based off a brass...if it's a conversion of MonMyth, then she's a brass. Secondly, the dragon stats increase in a regular fashion, as you can tell by comparing the age categories and as delineated in ELH. Bahamut is...

Dragon Gods (Aasterinian, Chronepsis, and Faluzure)

What did you use as the base template for Aasterinian? Your conversion is a little different from mine, which I have to go home to get to. If you look at Bahamut in D&Dg, he's basically a Great Wyrm Gold with 3-4 virtual age categories. Aasterinian is obviously based off of a Great Wyrm...

    Bad night at D&D

At least your players didn't spend the entire session making obscene variations of PHB spells. But this was back in high school...they're much more mature now...kind of.

    D20Modern - massive damage threshold

Remember that there is a variant wherein you can set the massive damage threshold to "heroic" to emulate D&D, in which case it is 50hp.

    conversions of gods

I'm surprised I didn't see this thread earlier. I already started (and completed many) conversion for a lot of the gods in Monster Mythology. There were a couple of issues I had with the D&Dg format with regard to nonhuman deities. The most notable is that racial adjustments were applied to a...

    Ixichital, Ixispittle, Ixiwhosit...

Are they still around in 3E? In 2nd Ed., I remember them worshipping Demogorgon...the two heads of that demon prince probably fought over the name of their worshipers and when they pronounced it together, it came out "ixitxachitl."

    Strength, creature size, hp, damage...

Agreed. And consistency gets in the way of fun and game balance. That's why I'm tackling this now. First, the source material does not in any way indicate a difference in musculature or bone structure, or even proportion, in many of the giants. Wrong. The center of gravity is not an issue...

    Strength, creature size, hp, damage...

Consistency is required, insofar as it affects gameplay. This issue actually came up when I tried to use the Monster Manual guidelines to generate some giant-sized creatures. Then I outfitted them with giant-sized armor and realized that they can't carry them. That's when I noted the Str...

    Strength, creature size, hp, damage...

Explain, exactly, how my suggestions would knock dragons out of the sky, etc.? I already stated that my premise is that giants can move around normally and dragons can fly, etc., but that the system itself does not allow for it with the way it sets up their statistics. What I suggested was for...
