So, one of my players is an Antipaladin (we're playing Way of the Wicked). He's considering going into the Holy Vindicator prestige class. Before doing so, however, he plans to take a single level of Cleric, making him have Channel Energy from two classes. Now, as per the errata, Channel Energy...
Thanks! Those are some great suggestions! As for the board, I'm sorry, a mod can feel free to move it.
Let's see:
Of course, can't believe I didn't think of it myself. I actually thought of doing a sorcerer, but a couple of choices made me avoid it.
My conclusions as well. I'll be grabbing...
High power level, it's a pretty tactically focused dungeon crawling campaign.
I won't be going divine, as we already have a divine gish (which I built for another player). Jace Phoenix and Arcane Wrath should be the core of the build, I'm looking for ideas and tweaks on that. Being a dwarf gish...
Hi there all. I'm planning a Gish build and would like to know if I've missed some cool stuff that would fit this particular build well. We're level 13, and so far the plan is:
Wizard 4/Crusader 1/Runesmith 1/Jade Phoenix Mage 7
The plan is to go deep into Power Attack and chiefly sacrifice...
I couldn't find a straight answer to this using the search function. If I understand this spell correctly, every time, for example, a buffed flesh raker deals just 1 damage with its claw or tail to a victim, the victim takes lvld6 acid damage - no save?
As topic (EDIT: Meant manifesting powers and not casting spells, of course). According to Expanded Psionics Handbook, the telepathic link a psicrystal grants means that the owner has "the same connection to a room as the psicrystal has." This is followed up with the note that the character...
Our playgroup has played with the initiator rule for the past 5 or so years too, but we hadn't seen the "martial adept" clause before. So now we're in doubt and were wondering a) what other people did and b) if anything official existed regarding that statement.
In Tome of Battle - The Book of Nine Swords, RAW is a bit weird when it comes to what level maneuvers you can take after "dipping" in one of the Blade Magic classes.
On one hand, it states:
This is re-stated in the table itself.
It suggests initiator level is what determines if you can take...
I'm thinking a hybrid will work best. Giving them 7 hours of actual playtime will also make them focus on the module, giving it an intensity. Making it work in "real-time" so to speak. I can stop the clock during combat and for one or two breaks maybe.
Wow, great post, thanks!
In the frame of my campaign, the Tomb of Horrors is actually the former tomb of their main antagonist, a mummy (who has risen and left the tomb). The demilich is a guardian guarding an item the party needs to wrest control of or destroy the mummy's army of sand...
Thanks, I'll check it out.
EDIT: Surprisingly, only one has played Tomb of Horrors, and he is travelling right now so he's not in the game for a while. Tomb of Horrors it is. Will have to beef the strength of everything up though. Anyone know any Tomb of Horror-resources that are good?
EDIT2...
